ante diem v kalends june 2003 c.e. First posting is the most dangerous game. That is if you live in Colorado Springs, the U.S. capital of lightning strikes. As you may know a few years back I was subject to a lightning strike that fried my motherboard and I had to drop a goodly amount of cash to get myself back up and running to maintain this site and what I considered my sanity during those heady days. For thirteen minutes I kept reloading Slashdot because I saw that tempting "THE STORY IS GETTING READY" so I could get first post. In the distance I was menaced by the rumblings of thunder on the mountains. I kept asking myself, "First post or fried computer?" The answer, gentle reader, is neither. I FAILED IT. Monday was boring. Got to work early, went home early, went food shopping for Spot and me, sent out a package at the post office and came home to do nothing.
