Setting Orange, Chaos 70th, yC 3169 I beat Rez. Fuck yeah. Just tinkering around with ideas for a space game about a trans-neptunian object, the lonely AI, a ship that loses its entire crew and the people sent to recover as much as possible from the cold hulk in orbit. As a tangent I've been wondering if there might be such a beast as an oxygen-nitrogen gas giant that would be livable albeit with structures that ride the high pressure gases from below like a water strider rides the skin of water. My only assumption would be that such a gas giant would circle a red star, most likely fifth generation where heavier elements are more common.
