I finally got the boulder breaking patch to work in NetHack and in the process discovered another patch which adds a robe called Snakeskin to the game. This artefact is intended for use by monks which pleases me since I'm usually playing Kokujin the monk. As always the Windows binary is available for download if anyone is interested in trying it out.
I need to feel like I am able to do things on my own rather than wait for someone to give permission or someone to take it out of my hands and do it for me.
Later in the dream I was in a house that probably had the qualities of a building designed by Escher. raddidge was following me as I clambered through crawlspaces and ducked into cabinets until I reached a body of water. I had to climb up a ladder then jump across to a spider's thread where I would swing onto the opposite end. Much like Super Mario Brothers 2 water was deadly to the touch and swimming was not allowed by the dream. raddidge kept telling me that she saw ripples in the water and told me to look up since she couldn't see anything from her vantage point. High up in a corner were a few hairy black legs surrounded by swarming black dots.
At the end the dream became a thought exercise where I figured out that reality was made up of five universes which had five distinct colors. One universe tangented them all, two universes only tangented each other while the remaining two would only tangent the first and each other. From these circles I was able to draw lines which proved the subtle interconnectedness between realities.
I awoke when I felt Spot walking along my ankles and raddidge sitting down near my feet.
