I added another patch to NetHack. Rings of cold and heat. Supposedly the rings deal out heat and cold damage when worn and hitting monsters while barehanded. Unfortunately barehanded attacks are idiotic in NetHack considering the existence of chickatrices and cockatrices. Touching one of these petrifying birds is a swift death sentence. Anyway I added it and the Windows binary is updated for people who may be interested in this.

First I want to let you know, gentle reader, that Immodest Proposals is quite a read. I'm charmed by Mr. Tenn, née Philip Klass, and his writing. The first story Firewater reminds me of Dick's Martian Time Slip but far more engaging and interesting for me.
Nextly there's X-Minus One. It's an old science fiction radio show that adapted popular contemporary science fiction from its time back in the mid-fifties.
Finally: Dicks.

Shit, I hope I didn't fuck up my mp3 player. I left it charging for more than two hours and I don't want the battery to get fucked or lose its zero point.
Now I wonder if I should bother the fine folks at Old World Bagel, use their free wireless broadband service and download lots of those mp3s from X-Minus One.

Sometime in spring I had gone to visit elmgrows at his mansion. When I knocked upon the door it had opened by itself and I could hear him in the darkness. "Come in already."
The place was dark, I think there was a nightlight in the kitchen that lit the dining room table but I couldn't see anyone. I had huge news to relate because Ranx had become a fucking planet and blew up Mogo with a blink bomb. elmgrows asked me to sit down and told me about how he was becoming a vampire.
