How come the northeast and the midwest get battered by winter storms but Colorado Springs is largely free of the white stuff? Sure there were bitter temperatures earlier this week and supposedly there's a goodly amount of snow up in the mountains but why can't we have any snow?
I'm glad that I'm not running worst-case scenarios through my head. At worst Spot's just a fat cat who has trouble breathing and she needs to lose some weight. Plus it's high time that she got a checkup. Lilah, on the gripping hand, remains elusive but she's warming up to me. Maybe in five years she'll willingly rub against me or maybe jump into my lap.
It's going to be a lonely Christmas. Meh.
I drove home at lunch to check up on Spot and played the fucking mp3. Usually this is the prescribed method for exorcising a song from one's head but it didn't take. I've listened to this damned song five times, sang along with it about three times and I can still hear their mellow tones in my head.
My current theory for the tune's persistence points to ginko biloba. Tuesday I took three capsules. Friday morning I took three more capsules. I'd like to think it helps my concentration making me a contender for one of the knives in the drawer but my other half vociferously argues this is nothing but a placebo effect and even if it's not an placebo effect then I will have diminishing returns due to building up a tolerance for these supplements.
