Playing NetHack one level a day is tedious but I have a good feeling this may end up being a successful run.

What luck, this level of the Gnomish Mines was also well-lit. When I lack a light source I hate fumbling through the dark and getting struck by missile weapons from unseen opponents. What Spivak the lawful human female priestess didn't kill was swiftly dispatched by Spot. None of the monsters had lighter armor and no lamps were to be found on this level.

One thing about the Gnomish Mines is the fact there's usually a preponderance of tools considering the technological nature of gnomes, dwarves and to a lesser extent halflings. As you can see Spivak is currently being menaced by two apes and a distant kobold lord. Hopefully tomorrow when Spivak descends Spot will not have moved from her place beside Spivak so Spot would come down to the next level.

Now I did something really stupid and unnecessarily dangerous. There's a tight squeeze into that area on the lower right hand side of the screen. Spivak removed the scale mail and squeezed through to explore in the hopes of finding some good loot. Nothing at all. As she squeezed back that's when the apes appeared much to my concern.

Tuesday was a cool but sunny day. My disappointment stems from the fact that Pikes Peak didn't get any snow. I'm sure in the past that Pikes Peak had snow sometime by the middle of September but this year is proving to be a bust. There'll be cause for concern if there isn't any snow on Hallowe'en.

On Tuesday I went to strength training. My knee feels tricky, I'm tired, I'm down in the dumps without any energy and I really don't want to go anymore.

At least I'm eating better. It's a slow process but I'm definitely getting there. Whenever I eat bad foods it's on the weekends but during the week I govern my eating habits pretty well. Just wish that I had a grill or could reasonably cook my meat on a regular basis without heating up the apartment.
