I did not understand my audience. My game was too involved and will go too long. Getting involved in a story takes too much energy so folks prefer a beer and pretzels kind of game like Dead Meat or perhaps Risus or Supercrew. I have been looking at Risus and I will be looking over Supercrew very soon. If I feel up to it, I'll ask if anyone is interested because these systems are small, simple and can do one-shots quite easily unlike Hero. By the way, knowing at least one member of our gaming group, there's an expansion for Firefly in Risus. I've never watched the TV show and wasn't really interested in the first place in Firefly except when it comes to lampyridae.
