While driving up to raddidge's place I was surprised to have clear reception of 1530 KCMN AM radio all the way to parking in her driveway. Usually the signal gives out after mile marker 165 forcing me to find something else to fill up the empty commute 'til a Denver station with decent programming is available.
Some of you may not be surprised, and I'm not surprised, since this station is AM giving it a larger audience but as I said I usually lose the signal around mile marker 160 or 165. At least I think that's the mile marker where I-25 goes through the high plains and there are all those lonely mesas.
This got me to wondering if the book felt relief. Nevermore to be precariously perched and never falling forward onto its neighbor. Are my books happier resting on their covers rather than their edges?
For a moment I wondered if I should get up and push all the books upright against each other. I didn't, mostly out of lethargy, but a small part of me wanted to let the book rest and no longer worry about once again trying to maintain its balance.
The truck had been spray painted green and as I took a walk around the truck I could hear him telling people not to touch it since the paint was still tacky and the truck was fragile for some reason. From the back I could see there were a few hand trucks and a handful of crates up by the cab.
I just remember going on an errand up Wahsatch past Platte but it wasn't to pick up auto parts.
