Almost everyone I know is saying that most likely I have gout. Malyss, raddidge, Connie from Denny's, some folks at work. The internet says that gout begins with the big toe. Right now my big toe is just a bit tender. It was painful on Tuesday but that eventually went away.

I've looked at my foot, I've compared my left foot (pain-free) and my right foot (ouch) and see no appreciable swelling in the affected area.

Now I need to schedule a doctor's appointment for two reasons. One to make sure I'm not going to keel over and die if I pursue Cassius's suggested physical regimen and diet. Two in order to say "LOL I DONT HAEV GOUT OUCH BROKEN BONE / STRAINED MUSCLE".

Most times when I remember my life back in New Jersey, I always remember it being overcast and dark. Most times it was raining but those conditions are usually good for really cold and damp weather or unbearable humidity without any respite.

Of course I've visited the Garden State more than a few times in the last couple of years and the weather isn't that bad. Most times I'll chalk it up to flying back to Jersey with some of that Colorado sunshine. Of course this is simple reductive reasoning. Plus I remember my two weeks in New Jersey back in October of 2004 it was dark and rainy plus my excursion to Cape May was gray, overcast with drizzle. Yet I still lay out on my blanket at Sunset Beach to pick tiny, pretty stones from the sand.
