Of course it's always easier to say something rather than to do something which always appears to be the foundation of most modern sects of Christianity.
So prepare yourself for being killed in a car crash, lowered productivity and generally being inconvenienced for seven to fifteen days because of an artificial adjustment of subjective time.
Yes, humans are bad m'kay. Humans should not be doing this. Want a good reason why people engage in such activities without any remorse? Look at the bible. Folks are guaranteed an afterlife and they reckon fuck this life because the next one will be better. Also somewhere, I think in the back, God says that the Earth belongs to the humans to do with as they will including the animals.
Yet there's another big player in the game. Our sun. One of the coldest and most controversial places in our solar system, Pluto, is warming up. Pluto has an eccentric orbit which crossed Neptune's path making Neptune the furthest planet from the Sun back in 1989 and for a few years after that. Ever since then, Pluto has been moving further away from the sun reaching aphelion.
For those of you playing along at home, aphelion is the furthest point from the sun. Astronomers who deign to observe the former planet cum dwarf planet have noticed Pluto has been warming up. How? Pluto has an interesting seasonal cycle where the atmosphere freezes and falls to the ground during winter but during Plutonian summer the atmosphere sublimates and becomes relatively dense.
Of course Pluto isn't the only distant object which has been getting warmer over the past couple of years. Triton, one of Neptune's moons, has been experiencing its own global warming phenomenon.
Now a Russian astronomer has said global warming is hitting closer to home. On Mars. Observations of the expansion and retreat of the polar ice caps has shown the martian ice caps have been gradually shrinking over the past few martian years. Mainstream scientists who are popular with media outlets discredited Abdussamatov as a scientist but have not discredited his science.
Which brings me to a thesis given to me by raddidge.
raddidge says, "BTW, the Mars thing is due to the fact that the sun is about to explode. In a year or two. Give or take."
spivak asks, "What happens in 2012?"
raddidge says, "Sun explosion."
spivak says, "A year or two from now is 2008-2009."
spivak says, "A few years short."
raddidge says, "Does the sun care what time it is?"
raddidge says, "NO."
