On Saturday I waddled up the driveway and noticed one of the trees was also bearing flowers. Finally on Sunday raddidge pointed out a robin redbreast. It's not until I see this stuff that I know spring has truly arrived in the world.
Until I see and experience it, the fact that the sun crossed the equator on March 21st, 2007 at 4:07 p.m. MDT is just another meaningless date and time.
What's the point of all this consumerist nonsense? Huh? Well I realized that I really want to get some construction dice. No they're not a special, obscure kind of die used only in union roleplaying games. Ronnie, who I used to game with, had a shitload of these yellow six sided dice with black pips. I always used them and they were always kind to me if you're among the folks who are superstitious about dice. Plus I really like the color scheme of black on yellow. Insert miscegenation joke here. Sadly I didn't see such dice over at The Compleat Gamer or the hobby store over on Academy.
Plus I still need a cheapo plastic chess set with chess pieces which are about 2 inches tall. Such items are necessary for Asbury Park by Night since they'll make cheap and effective miniatures when there's combat during the game. Plus Jaybird uses a gnome to represent himself, maribou uses a vampire smurf that I got her in Cape May but I don't know what Cassius or elmgrows are going to use to represent them on the battle mat.
Now I wonder if my old G.I. Joe action figures are still in New Jersey.
There's a bounty of 1 fat experience point for anyone who can acquire a cheapo, plastic chess set!
