a needless but needful explanation
I chose that picture of myself with my parents because of the look on my face. Jaybird laughed when he took the picture and now I can see why he did. Apparently it's a face that I make on a regular basis.
So it makes me laugh and it is no gauge of my feelings towards my parents.
