Ha ha, I woke up at 10:19 a.m. on Friday and the only thing that got done was laundry, taking out the trash and cleaning Spot's bowls.

Now I have to do a few more things like pay for that TDAP shot and sign in at the motel.

One of the things I need to keep in mind while approaching the expensive wargaming hobby known as Warhammer 40,000 is the fact that it's expensive. I'll have to buy my stuff online. For example chaosorc.com sells the Tau Battleforce set for $67.50 while the suggested retail is $90. In town at Hobbytown the price is $80 which is okay but not great. I shelled out $35 for my box of Tau Fire Warriors and as it currently stands I think this little box of Tau are going to be my experiment rather than something to actually play with in a game.

Anyway it's sad. Plus I don't know if I'll run into anyone to play with on a regular basis. Unless I win the lottery to pay for a lobotomy and another army I'll feel like a courtesan standing on a corner looking other gamers in the eye asking, "Want a skirmish?"
