Time is subjective. For the past week I've been thinking "January's zipped right by!" Yet when I went to upload pictures and saw there were a bunch from earlier in the month I was shocked because those events seemed like ages ago. I wish my perception of time would remain constant rather than speeding up and slowing down as my brain sees fit.
purple planets
So lately I've been thinking a lot about a dream from last year. April to be exact. Go on, read it. I'll wait for you.

Just been thinking about the color purple in that dream. How beautiful the planet was and how I wanted to be there. In fact I'd rather be anyplace other than the Earth. There aren't any new lands to explore and settle. Habitable ones at that since there's Antarctica and the sea floor.

I am reminded of a scene from long ago. While driving home from Malyss's place at Raisin Acres the sun was at the right position in the sky and the entire world was that color purple. There was a meadow with long grass and I could see fireflies between the blades. One of the few moments I remember from New Jersey where I had to stop and watch that single moment and experience that beauty.

orange juice
I keep forgetting to mention some things here at heptapod.org. First of all during the last installment of Asbury Park by Night I drank an entire gallon of orange juice.

Pleasant as orange juice may be, keep in mind that everything must be done in moderation including moderation. Woke up in the middle of the night because there was stinging pre-puke at the back of my nose and throat. It reeked of orange juice. In fact all day Saturday I kept smelling orange juice. At the grocery store I wondered if I happened to be kidnapped and butchered if my meat would have a delightful orange flavor accenting the marbled muscle.

gas
As of last week, gas prices have dropped below $2/gallon for the first time in a long time. Usually after the Christmas season gas prices tend to slowly inch upwards, spiking a bit in March then continuing their ascent through late spring and summer. The 7-11 across from Palmer High School was the first place that was $1.99.

The lowest price I've found is $1.90 on the west side of Colorado Springs. If you have a King Soopers card and have racked up enough purchases then the price is $1.87. If I recall correctly, the highest price that I paid for gas in 2006 and probably ever was $3.15 a gallon.

All cited prices are for regular unleaded.

games
After a little slow time at work, I have the outline of a plot for another game using the HERO game system.
In Yer Dreams
In the back of a pick-up truck with a shell was a dog box. Inside the dog box was an Indian woman, dots not reservations, who was naked on all fours with her business end pointed at me. She turned around and smiled. In her arms was Spot's cat carrier. When she opened it I saw there was a little Asian baby in there who was radiating light. When the kid looked at me, he laughed because of me not at me.
