I went five days without fapping. Mostly to see if too much fapping has been the cause for my self-consciousness about performance. When I finally caved in, it wasn't even that good.

Either I'm too fat, I'm too old or I'm not physically interested even though I'm mentally interested. Perhaps it's a side effect of depression.

Rogue Galaxy runs on the PS2 over at the Video Game Exchange. It worked at EG next to Walmart. Friday night at the Birdhouse it ran on Jaybird's PS2. After using compressed air on various parts I've come to the conclusion that my console does not like Rogue Galaxy or vice versa.

The kid at the Video Game Exchange says it'd probably run me about $50-$60 to have the fixit guy to look at and fix my console. I phoned Sony and the rep tried but couldn't help me. So he says if I mail in my PS2 and $45 I'll get a brand new PS2 in exchange.

Hmm... stroking beard doing my best Jaybird impression. Hmm, more emphatic.

I haven't played enough of Rogue Galaxy to have an opinion. Right now combat is frustrating because the first level is a tutorial that keeps interrupting the flow of combat. Plus the cutscenes are brief but there are a lot of them so far. I chalk this up to the fact that I'm at the beginning of the game. One thing that's already clear is that the protagonist meets up with his older self who bequeaths a legendary sword upon his younger self.

So much for my weekend. I was hoping to sit down and just fucking play and grind all weekend rather than do stupid shit like go on the interbutt.

The combat's a lot like Kingdom Hearts, according to Jaybird. I haven't played Kingdom Hearts and I have little to no desire to play that game. Plus there's a skill system of plopping special items onto a board in order to gain new skills with each level. Unfortunately I can not pick up pots, throw them and smash them to get goodies inside of them outside of combat.
