Meh, it's a start.
In recent days there have been mentions of people being told they're eligible for $1500. At first I thought this was simply a new lending scheme that was going to be introduced by the company in the next month. After learning that the lead generators are getting information from a customer then sending it to many different online short term lenders and who ever gets the first loan pays the lead generator.
The lead generator may get lucky, there'll be an application where a spouse applied without the applicant's knowledge and it just so happens that the applicant can not get calls at work yet the employer will gladly declare that they are an employee. Tomorrow that bank account now has $1500 in $300 increments. Yes it's a windfall for the applicant or "applicant" but when the next pay cycle rolls around they're going to pay through the nose to the tune of $450 dollars or $1950 should they choose to pay off all the loans.
All this time I've been told that there are only two questions that can be answered by an employer. "Did they work for you?" and "Would you hire them again?" My source being Jaybird. When "best friend" contacted the general manager to find out what was said, the general manager gave a vague answer of "I'm not going to say anything to keep you from working" but would not elaborate about the discussion between "best friend"'s potential employer and her former employer.
This serves to underscore raddidge's admonition not to burn bridges. Her admonition comes from a recent situation in her life that made job searches more difficult and employment more elusive than necessary for raddidge.
My week off in September is going to be an interesting one.
