The Republic has become a far worse place to live today. The Military Commissions Act of 2006 passed both houses. An attempt to preserve habeas corpus was voted down 51-48. Ken Salazar who represents my neck of Colorado voted for it. Check out the voting record for Colorado representatives or look up the voting records of your Congressional representatives.

Read all eighty pages of the bill. It's frightening. In short, dissent with the President get tortured without any rights as a human being.

nice day though
I woke up at 6:30 a.m. because I realize that I had slept enough for one night. After fucking around on some sites Spot reminded me that I had to go to work so I can feed her and keep her in cat litter and wet food. Work was work, non-invasive and productive. I saw myself in the mirror in the bathroom and I thought, "I look good today". Something about my hair but I did nothing with my hair.
After work I went to the Safeway on Circle and they had no seltzer so I drove down Circle to Union and to the Safeway on Academy and Union where they always have seltzer in six packs. On the drive back there was a huge flock of birds taking flight then landing on power lines. Hundreds of birds lined up, shoulder to shoulder and filling up the cable between both towers. A marvelous sight to behold.
Fortunately I didn't have my camera. The photo would've sucked and detracted from the wonder and imagination that comes with memory.
