Boy, Sunday was busy. Things were a bit odd because I was addled from the time change. Usually I'm out of sorts when I spring forward not when I fall back. Anyway we were early for a few places, I wanted to see if they had plain black pullover hoodies in stock but they didn't have them.
Got home, I napped outside, raddidge played Pokemon Gold and I played a little bit of Fire Red. When I ask raddidge about her game she's ornery and evasive about her game. All I want to do is give her advice and help her if she has any questions. She was a heck of a lot more forthcoming when she started playing NetHack.
So I cleaned up the kitchen, did last night's dishes, cleaned off the shelves and put stuff away. I feel accomplished even though raddidge, precious raddidge is unimpressed by my effort.
It consisted of two words; "please come". Confused, the boy sent a reply, asking why he'd been absent that day. After two more messages and fifteen minutes with no response, he decided to get on his bike and head over to his classmate's house. It was a short ride, only about five minutes away.
When he got to the house, he found the door was unlocked. Inside, partially dried blood was splattered over the walls and floors, and an unrecognizable figure was crumpled against the far wall. It was missing an arm and a leg, and bloody streaks on the floor lead away from the body and into the kitchen. The boy slammed the door closed, and immediately called 911 on his cell phone.
When the police arrived, they found three corpses, as well as tracks leading away from the house from the back door. The forensics report concluded that the entire family, the boy's classmate and his parents, had been killed sometime the previous night.
I went back to my motel room and found raddidge. Now the motel room was unbelievably large. It could fit two of my apartments with room to spare. I told raddidge that we had to leave but not why, raddidge looked at me and said, "We're late as it is, where were you?"
The rest of the dream was spent running around like headless chickens hoping to get everything packed and make our flight.
