Want to hear one of the hobgoblins that lives in my head? Whenever I go to the Birdhouse and I see that maribou has heptapod.org on the screen using Internet Explorer, the div tables don't fuckign work. The left hand column is put aaaaaall the way at the bottom of the content section.

Yet they like using IE. More power to them. At least if they ever question my HTML markup skills they can click the little W3C button below the dreams.

things to do
My black pullover hoodie has been missing as of last Friday's game. I swear that I had it draped over my head when I came home that evening. Now I'm stuck with my gray zippered hoodie that no longer has a zipper. I looked online and the only place that had a hoodie in my size and the style I want charges $55.00.

Also in December my gift to myself is going to be clothes. I know what kind of black XXXL t-shirts I wear and I need a bit more variety than my black jeans. Like two pairs of regular jeans. Hopefully Wal-Mart goes up to lardass in size.

Finally I'll get a new hoodie if I can't find my old hoodie.

caturday night
raddidge came down for the first time in quite some time. We went food shopping and I picked up a lot of stuff. I made sauce, using Kinja's contributed recipe as a model, and meatballs, using my father's meatloaf recipe with a slight modification. Everything turned out quite well.

Heck, we drove to the Birdhouse to share my creation with the Birds. It was nine thirty and fortunately they were still up. In fact they were out on the porch wondering what to do for dinner. We stood around, heard about their trip to Las Vegas and caught up on things since we haven't seen each other for four days and they hadn't seen raddidge for months.

Fortunately Jaybird and maribou shared their enthusiasm for Asbury Park by Night with raddidge.

brains nugggghhh need brains
There is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea that does not appear on any map. It cannot be seen from any other island, nor can any other land be seen from it. On this island is a lighthouse, rotting from age and sea water, which is never lit. There is nothing inside it, save for a spiraling staircase that leads to the top, and an ancient, dusty bookcase.

The case is filled with unmarked books, bound in ancient leather, save for a single space. If you remove a book from the shelf, it will fling itself open in your hands, and the words inscribed in it shall start screaming to the air. You must wrestle the book closed and shove it back on the shelf, or the immortal evil contained within its pages shall break free, and you will be forced to take its place, with pages, ink and binding crafted from your own flesh and blood.

However, if you bring the correct book to the island, and place it in the empty space, the lighthouse will light. As long as it is lit, the world shall enjoy an unending paradise, for all the evil in the world will be contained in the lighthouse. And while it is lit, nothing can go in or out.

The only problem; you will be trapped for eternity with all the evil ever known or conceived, by man or god. And the only way to escape, is to douse the light.
