When I was a little kid, I'd always get these pains in my right side if I ran too much. I'd have to sit down and wait for it to stop and relax. On Tuesday night when I was visiting with the Birds, I had a clenching slash shooting pain on the left side of my body. Not in my left arm. Oh how things change as one grows older and becomes far more mortal.

earth abides
Earth Abides remains one of my favorite books. I hope that maribou reads it so I can talk about it with her. It still made me sad but didn't kill me like it did when I first read it. In fact I was wondering if I was simply feeling sad because I thought I was supposed to be feeling sad rather than having the writing move me.

For the last six months I thought that I was 36 and would be turning 37 on the 12th of December. I'm 35 and I'm going to be 36 in December. There's more to life than increasing its speed.
In Yer Dreams
I dreamt that I was pestering elmgrows over and over again to fix his computer. Any time I got close to his computer, he'd shoo me away and stare at me like I was stealing his food in time of famine.
