My Nikon Coolpix 5600 has a dead pixel at 1787, 1803. It happened sometime after the pics taken on Tuesday night in Manitou Springs. All the pics taken on 5/25/06 have that one bright blue pixel standing out near the bottom right hand corner. Sure it's only one pixel but this irritates me. I've only had the device since April.

Sigh. Here's hoping the rest of the pixels are far more sturdy.

I went out on Monday to get some extra groceries. Signed a petition to slow growth out here to preserve the water table and for a tax refund on the last three years of energy billing.
In Yer Dreams
Brian and I were sent on a mission to the planet Mercury. A large sphere of tin was found on its surface. As we came closer to Mercury, it was discovered that tin sphere was next to a larger metallic sphere covered with prickly, flashing antennae. Dream logic said that there were larger spheres on the surface. Once we landed, we roamed around for the spheres but daybreak was nearly upon us. The sun was more than the size of my fist. Just like those simulations of solar eclipses showing a spot of shadow crossing the earth's surface, there was a pop-up diagram inside my helmet showing that our spaceship and team were in the path of the most intense heat. A broad swath of solar radiation cutting its way across the surface of the small planet. We made tracks towards a few shady outcroppings. The bright sunlight stands out most in my memory.
