I found my toilet paper. It was still in the living room but I had put a bunch of books and comics on top of it. Nearly in plain sight. I'm senile.

When I refer to a family member using a term like "my mother's brother", instead of uncle, it's meant to represent an emotional distance that's maintained by me. I'm about to start referring to my grandmother as my mother's mother. Using terms like grandmother, uncle and such embody fondness for the individual. Using cumbersome terminology is meant to acknowledge they're a relative but nothing else.
