I ignored them, remaining silent and sullen as I walked away. They taunted and harassed and stalked me through the streets. Fortunately their cajoling really didn't bother me, I just wanted to be left alone.

Sanctuary came in the form of a small bar. Its exterior was plain, made of very dark wood. The front door was its only nod to vanity, covered with roccoco carvings and filligree. Once I was inside, nothing could bother me nor could anything touch me. Heck, I couldn't even hear my tormentors. I spent the rest of the dream sitting quietly near the wall without touching a drop of alcohol.
