Independence Day
My back still hurts. Some stuff is painful, other stuff seems impossible and the remainder is within the realm of possibility. For example getting up from a seated or a laying position is painful for me. Attempting to pour hot water and food into a colander is nearly impossible for me. Yet I can raise my hands above my head, reach around to my back and apply lots of Icy Hot.

The ISP is aware that I've been getting slow connection speeds. They say it could be the weather. Oookay. Right now I'm thinking that they want to phase out dialup. This conspiracy was reinforced when I called tech support and the guy on the other end suggested that they offer DSL. Meh, I don't know. Lately I just feel like I've been pissing money away and there's nothing happening with the financial aspect of my life.

monday morning
When I got up on Monday morning, I felt great! Only a little twinge when I got out of bed but not the constant ache that ended up haunting me all fucking day. Makes me wonder if all I need are a few days of bed rest. When I head up to raddidge's place today I'm not going to be much fun since I'll want to lay on my back most of the time.

At work, my chair kept rocking back and that only served to aggravate my back. I was told a new chair was ordered for me (!) but the ironic thing would be that the chair arrives just as my left side is in working order again.

The fact that I wasn't able to pour out the pierogies into the colander actually worried me. Hopefully work will be slow on Wednesday, I can get sent home and I'll see what I can do about having someone to see me.

Now the last time my back went out, I went to the emergency room. Four hours later, I had a prescription for vicodin, got a shot of something that sounded like taurine and a shrugging doctor who couldn't tell me what was wrong or causing the pain.

I'd like to get this straightened out because it's been haunting me for quite a while.
