July is over, here comes the august month of August. Thirty one more tedious days, sans holidays, until the advent of September, my flight to New Jersey and the beginning of autumn.

In case raddidge is reading, when I use the term "autumn" I mean the season you refer to as "fall". Plus if I happen to make references to a season called "winter", I'm referring to what you call "trip". Same goes for "summer", you refer to that as "skip".

Fortunately spring remains spring considering our drastically different lexicons.

ungladly suffering idiots
People who seriously and honestly, with all earnestness, deny the Apollo landings are idiots. Some dipshit at Stern Fan Network referred a couple of crank sites using junk science to support his cromulent assertation that the Apollo program was a hoax. Here's hoping that I am banned after my string of troll posts.
services rendered
the top of pikes peakraddidge, peace be upon her, got me an attachment for my webcam. Now I can perform digital astrophotography using my laptop and telescope. No more of this nonsense of pressing my digital camera against the lens and hoping for the best. On Sunday I took my first picture, a daytime shot of the top of Pike's Peak, which ended up being grainy. Here's hoping any further attempts are much clearer and better when I photograph the sky.

In return for my acquisition, I bequeathed my old digital camera upon raddidge for her own use. Plus I was nice and gave her the cables and the CD with all the programs to run the camera.

Yep, the pictures are going to be 240 x 320. Reckon I'll look into acquiring a webcam that's a little more robust. Don't expect Hubble imaging, gentle reader.

tease
Go ahead, call me a fucking tease. raddidge told me that I should remain silent about the subject matter behind the recent teases here at heptapod.org. She did let me know that I could tell Jaybird and maribou but I decided against it. Heck, we were at maribou's bookstore and I nearly let the cat out of the bag but decided against it.

To know, to will and to be silent.

Check back in about a year from now for the skinny.

heptapod.org apologizes for its egregious and uncharacteristic behavior.
