raddidge and I had a nice weekend. We went to a nearby Christmas light display and had dinner at the Front Range Grill. Later we came back and watched Rock & Rule and some TV. I think raddidge got annoyed that I kept flipping back to the ventriloquist dummy episode of the Twilight Zone and she went to bed. The noise outside let us know that it was midnight and a new year so I went and opened up our champagne. The rest of the night was spent singing songs or trying to sing them since the lyrics were lost from being tired or a touch tipsy.

Sunday afternoon we had a late lunch, walked around Prospect Lake and fed the ducks. Unfortunately the squirrels weren't very gregarious or they had eaten their fill earlier in the day. Now it's time to do some dishes, have some tea and get started with dinner.

Sadly, raddidge and I don't have much time left together this weekend so I want to make the most of it.

Tomorrow I'm going out to some place that has free wireless, like Panera Bread or Einstein Bagels, to download service patch four and have a wee spot of lunch. Also I want to continue my neverending herculean labor of getting the apartment into good shape. Not to mention that heptapod.org requires some maintenance like setting up the pages for 2006. Reckon I'll do that later on tonight.

In Yer Dreams
The dream was fairly simple. I was in a darkened room. In the middle was a metal box with two green LEDs on it that were eyes. It told me that it was a god named Maja and it was watching me. When I left the room, I saw that I was in a large, abandoned factory building that resembled what could be Frankenstein's laboratory. Down below were numerous concrete channels to redirect runoff and other drainage utilities. Deep down I had a desire to follow them and see where they lead but I never got up the gumption to explore their lengths.
by the way
When I finally checked my bank's online service, every transaction is something I remember from the past two weeks. Good lord, I can't believe that I had been such a fucking spendthrift. With the advent of January I'll probably start my churchmouse mode.
