So someone in the upper management family decided that it would be a great idea to have processors help out the collections people. That's right, collections helped out processing during the busy months by verifying employment by researching the numbers, etc. and doing duplicate searches in the company database.

On Wednesday, three people were chosen and I was among them. This wasn't the first time I went there and I still disliked every minute. I did learn that Auschwitz, according to the collections girl who was showing me the ropes, still smells like burnt flesh after all these decades. All three of the unlucky processors were told they'd be in collections for the entire day of the 12th.

I am planning on being very busy on Friday the Thirteenth. Hopefully an email I sent will get a response or when I visit a particular state office that I'll be able to speak with someone.

goodness gracious
Spot became part of my life on September 26th, 2002. Gee whiz.

n.b. I am aware the date of that entry is 9/27/02 but a regular reader of heptapod.org will know that all entries are written the night before they are dated to give the illusion of freshness.
