I arrived at work on Tuesday at 5:50 a.m.. Mostly to gain brownie points, mostly because I didn't want to deal with a pile of applications and get stuck late at work. Better to come in early and leave at the usual time.

There were only 600+ applications rather than 1000 applications from the three day weekend. No one worked through lunch. In fact there was a full hour lunch. By three o'clock things were so slow that most folks were twiddling their thumbs waiting for applications to be handed out to processors.

So I felt like a schmuck but at least I knew my gesture of coming in early was appreciated even if it was unnecessary. In fact the department manager said I'd be welcome to come in the next day early in the morning. Since I'm writing this on 12/28/06 I can let you know that work is slow right now and coming in early would've been a waste of time.

I took lunch at Denny's on Tuesday. There's a major storyline that's always been the primary story arc of Asbury Park by Night. Well I had a revelation and another plot emerged that may very well rival the original tale. Both will appear in the game. My only concern is that I'm making so much stuff that people will be overwhelmed and get tired, much like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in comparison with the relatively vanilla yet open-ended Grand Theft Auto 3.

Now I have to exercise patience. Plus I'm so happy and proud of the gamers in my group. Plus there may be a fourth player who might show up for Friday's game.
