Mushrooms are under the ponderosa pine in front of work. I discovered them on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately the lawn had been mown and some of the caps were chopped up and scattered across the grass. One of the mushrooms survived and I sat next to it, petting it and talking to the mushroom.

When I came home from work there was a spotcat in my yard. The spots weren't in the right places but I immediately became concerned for Spottle's welfare. Minutes later I was at my front door, Spot was yowling at me in her best forlorn voice.

The day was rounded out with The Birds. maribou says she's going to play a Toreador and Jaybird is planning on playing a Ventrue. I already know that elmgrows is going to be a caitiff.

Lately I've been hearing more and more of the patriotic songs at KCMN. Reckon that's the trade-off for having great, old music playing all day. Now I'm playing the Soviet National Hymn to wash my ears out after the gentle jingoism.
