With all the great music on 1530 AM KCMN, it does have a darker side. This point was driven home on Saturday evening when they were playing some bland, modern song by some woman that was interspersed with choice quotes from George "Chimpler" Bush like "Every life is precious (unless it's Muslim)" and "America is standing strong."

On Friday night, KCMN played "Praise the Lord (and pass the ammunition)" which I thought was funny. Now it's less funny and a bit scary since I'm certain that tune was played straight without any sense of irony or kitsch.

Sigh. It's still a great station. If KRCC started playing music like this instead of crappy college kid music which is quickly outgrown, except by Jaybird, then I'd never switch the dial.

For those of you just joining us, 1530 AM is like a mix of WPAT 93.1 and the old WCBS FM 101.1 back in New Jersey.
