Gentle reader,
I forgot to emphasize the fact in yesterday's entry that life at 9500 feet is beautiful but physically exhausting.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am fortunate that the past weekend felt much longer than a normal weekend. There's something about being in the middle of nowhere that slows time to a crawl. Each passing minute feels thrice as long than normal. The same effect is also experienced while waiting in line at the DMV, waiting to be called for jury duty, being tortured by United States soldiers among other situations. Thankfully this magical place is far more pleasant and rewarding than the aforementioned scenarios.

raddidge had to go home early because she told her mother, "If I'm not home by Sunday night come looking for us." I suggested that she phone home but there was a story about a former employer who is harassing raddidge and raddidge's sainted mother for stealing office supplies. Larcenous slander aside, I'm thinking she just wanted to get out of Dodge.

Sunday morning didn't start on a pleasant note. Olympics Guy's alarm clock woke me from a sound sleep. For some reason he has a new alarm clock which actually buzzes louder when the power is cut from it! I couldn't find his business card to leave a simple message of "Turn off your alarm clock" on his cell's voicemail. raddidge decided to start the day at 7:30 a.m. considering the circumstances. Now my beloved female companion kept telling me that things aren't always perfect, folks make mistakes and I should get some perspective on the situation. I don't like waking up near the usual time for work on my days off. raddidge said if we get started early, we can beat the rush of church goers at various places like the lake.
