After my bike was stolen back in June, I realized that someone else kept their bicycle outside. The next door building had a tenant who stored their bicycle at the top of some stairs. Now this place was fairly hidden, tucked away behind a walled landing but the cover wasn't complete.
After my bike was stolen back in June, I realized that someone else kept their bicycle outside. The next door building had a tenant who stored their bicycle at the top of some stairs. Now this place was fairly hidden, tucked away behind a walled landing but the cover wasn't complete.
The day my bike was missing, I stood at the pole, looked around and saw one end of handlebars sticking up, silhouetted by the stained glass window behind the bicycle. Upon my return home from work, I sneaked upstairs and made sure my bike wasn't just put somewhere else as a prank. My poor bike is long gone.
Now the upstairs bike may have joined my bike in its fate. Since the ruckus of noisy college kids I noticed the handlebars were no longer there. Caution keeps me from going up the stairs and investigating further and incurring the wrath of the victim.
Poor bicycles.
nethack
Funny thing, I haven't seriously played Nethack in more than a week. Now I did acquire a patch from rec.games.roguelike.nethack which beefs up certain artifacts in the game. Right now I don't have the attention span to commit to a serious game.
