Hello, gentle reader.
I am back and hope to get back into the groove of updating this site known for its questionable diatribes, vitriol, whining and unreadable dreams.

August was a month. I remain grateful that I took off for a whole week so I could recover my energy and avoid any kind of burn out. As you may have seen, I was getting burnt out on updating this site which celebrated its fifth anniversary last year and is coming upon its sixth near the end of the month.

My commute home has been noteworthy due to a recurring scene. Near my place of employment, across from the Perkins on Platte and in the parking lot of the former Oak Express is a beat up pickup truck. When I first saw the truck, there was an old guy who is big in the way you think of God as being big. So round, so firm, so fully packed, sitting there without a care in the world while two youngsters hold and play with these puppies.
Puppies for sale makes my head turn faster than when I see a Jersey place on a car. These critters are small, white and floppy eared with tiny tails that just won't quit. Each one embodies the pure joy and excitement of a new world waiting with open arms for these kids.
I can't stop and take a look because I know I'll start crying and decide to take one home with me. Spot doesn't like dogs and it wouldn't be fair to her. Even if she's able to teach the dog to know his place, seeds of resentment would be sown and many betrayed stares that say "You brought this home but you didn't bring in Gross Cat?"

The other day while waiting for the light, I saw one of the pups had a black patch over his left eye. A little pirate! For a minute I considered picking him up to give to raddidge. That wouldn't be fair to raddidge since she really doesn't want a dog until her grandparents shuffle off this mortal coil. Leaving a dog at home for a week, even with neighbors or a fat boyfriend taking care of the pooch, wouldn't be fair to her since she'd terribly miss the pooch and he'd wonder why he was abandoned at home with strange people.

The last time I drove past, it looked like there was only one pup left.
I hope they all have good homes with good people.
