The Clapping Hands of God by Michael F. Flynn is the best story I have read in 2005. Find a copy of the July/August 2004 issue of Analog, visit this webpage or pick up the 22nd Annual Year's Best Science Fiction anthology. Or you can write me and I'll gladly photocopy the story and snail mail it to you. It's really not my nature to recommend stuff but I can't help recommending this story.

I am glad that I have found two Christmas gifts for raddidge. Unfortunately one may only be available in Europe (or just the UK) while the other one may have to be ordered online since I live in the sticks of the sticks of the United States of America.

Let this be my last day.
why
One thing keeps troubling me, gentle reader. Why do I have two instances of svchost.exe running according to the task manager? Isn't one instance of svchost.exe enough for Windows?

A crumpled note is haphazardly thrown at you.
Malyss pages, "After reading your diary entry on Sunday and how Raddidge chose to stay in her area due to the snow, I felt as though I had had a dream premonition from an alternate universe."
sigh
Monday was not the best day for me. An incident, thankfully wrapped up at the end of the work day, knocked me thoroughly off-kilter. For the past couple of hours I've been wanting to scream and bark "fuck you". As distressing as this development is, it's more of a sad disappointment after a decent amount of time on a relatively even keel. I'm certain raddidge would say otherwise.

Tuesday will come and go, by Tuesday night or Wednesday I should be steadfast and more sane.
