My current concern is regarding my car's registration. The State of Colorado, in its wisdom, has not sent me the documents where I can renew my car's registration for another year. I do not want to deal with this kind of bureaucracy. I know that if I was in New Jersey, the documents would've arrived by the third of the month and everything would be completed with all expediency well before the advent of Memorial Day.
It's unfortunate that the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles does not have any late hours for people who work for a living. One must take time off work in order to struggle through their red tape.

Needless to say, I am annoyed at the situation.

on a lighter note
This morning I was pleasantly surprised to smell spring in the air. I could smell mud, lavender and another scent. The experience was so strong that it broke me out of the mindless drone march to my car and I stood around to enjoy a few spare minutes before my commute.

I was pleased at the experience.

At work, the black girl shared pictures from a wedding she attended over the weekend in Ohio. I couldn't believe how green it was in Ohio of all places. Godforsaken rust belt, land locked Ohio. Every time I get nostalgic like this, I remember this brief scene from 2010. John Lithgow's character is going off on how he misses the color green. There really isn't any true green in Colorado. Conifers aren't green enough, they're more blue black than an honest green.
