raddidge's company is very comforting and healing to me. I wish that she was here more often but she has her job up north.
My stomach has been acting up, mostly gas, but the situation has me a bit concerned. Perhaps I shouldn't have started up on solid foods so soon after recovering from being ill.
Should any of you, gentle reader, happen to be in Colorado Springs then I recommend going to La Carneceria just off of north Academy Boulevard. First and foremost a pound of ground beef is $2.29! Safeway has ground beef for almost five bucks. I'd find the price of ground beef to be startling except our oceans aren't barren of algae and corpses aren't being picked up and shipped to factories. The burritos at La Carneceria kick ass. The only thing against the place is feeling so alien in someplace so fundamentally Mexican. At least they were friendly.
I certainly hope this is merely a wartime economy, the kind experienced by my grandparents, rather than a trend leading to eschaton and worse. It's funny, raddidge is snuggled up behind me keeping me warm like a pot bellied stove and I can almost hear her thoughts of "Well, you know it's inevitable."
Hopefully she's being quiet because she doesn't want to see me get tempermental like Thursday or she wasn't thinking it in the first place.
Our evening was rounded out with two, dos, du, dva, zwei, ni Woody Allen movies! First we watched Sleeper then Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex * but were afraid to ask. Thank goodness raddidge didn't feel like they were being forced on her. Nor was this a disaster like the time I showed Blade Runner to Malyss.
Christ, I didn't know I was so tempermental. And I'm not even menstruating.
Sigh.
