Saturday was a good day. The day started out quite early when I woke up in the dark and thought "Holy shit, I'm getting a summertime cold." raddidge came in, says to take more vitamins and have some tea and I'll be right as rain come Monday.
When I woke again, I was right as rain. raddidge then said it was the humidity and the cold air that made me feel ill.
After puttering around the apartment, we eventually left to the bike shop where I got a tiny set of bike tools then we visited two supermarkets. I visited one more. Albertsons had Taylor Ham!!! King Soopers had almost everything I needed except for seltzer water and good hot dogs. A bike trip over to the dinky Safeway up north on Wahsatch garnered the final items.
While cooking, One Hour Photo was on FX. Meh, I didn't like the movie and the ending of the forced pornography was pretty darned lame. Even if it had the typical ending of some lunatic ragey bloodbath I wouldn't have been impressed by the film.
raddidge was kind and patient enough to cook up onions and peppers with french fries in the oven while I cut open the french bread and cooked the hot dogs. We had an Italian hot dog for dinner. raddidge was weird and put chili on her Italian hot dog. After dinner, we watched a bit of some show on Pax about bible codes and if the gospels are true but that got really tiresome so we played a game.
Fluxx is a game where the rules are constantly changing. We discovered the game at the CoSine science fiction convention and it was really fun. While raddidge was doing most of the cooking, I cleaned off the table in the living room so we could have some decent playing space unlike playing on my bed. raddidge remarked that it was a lot like camping because she cooked over gas and we played games after dinner. I reckon Jaybird and maribou would like playing Fluxx if we ever have a legitimate couples night again.
The day was rounded out with raddidge having her first taste of Nutella. Mm, mm, good. She really likes it. I like it just fine. Ah, a lovely day where I got to show New Jersey to my honey without having to go to New Jersey.
Now if only I could get up the gumption to complete the conversion of my dreams to some database format then screw around with some blog script.
