Jesus Christ. There's a little bit of snow and suddenly the world goes into panic mode. Allegedly it's going to snow for two days straight. Nearly everyone at work was panicking and going on about being snowed in and buried under fifteen foot high drifts.

No doubt that Wednesday morning will greet me with KRCC announcing that school has been closed due to inclement weather. I don't care if the Colorado Springs population is so spread out that some folks will be buried while others will be dusting off their cars and complaining about everything useful being closed due to a minority.

Hey, that sounds like me.

Anyway, fucking wake me when I'm wading through knee-deep snow.

The only nice thing I can say about the Colorado weather is that its consistent.

In Yer Dreams
Elvis's body was being transported by train to his final resting place. This time there was not going to be any question about Elvis being alive and doing albums with Tupac. He lay in state aboard the train car. Folks could only view him through the glass.

Thing is, he really wasn't dead. The body on the train was a dummy and the real, living Elvis was stalking the countryside in the funeral train's wake. His purpose was attacking people and raping guys. My job was to hunt him down and bring him to his final destination. Weird thing is when he was raping some unsuspecting guy, they were both wearing underwear.

Okay so where's the nightmare bit? There's something frightening about Elvis because things which are dead should stay dead. Nor should they have such criminal intent regardless of their reputations.

I pursued him on bikeback, that's right bikeback, with my rifle. Several opportunities to land one in his skull presented themselves but I was always quaking in fear. Elvis had the upper hand when he whistled over at some farmer who was driving an enormous machine. A giant, four wheeled bicycle that's the size of a dump truck dragging tangled brambles and saplings behind it as a thresher soon bore down on me sending me deeper into a dark forest.
